Kodak announces the new KAC-05010 5.0 megapixel CMOS image sensor for digital still cameras and mobile phones. The announcement might signal a step in the right direction to go for quality instead of quantity. The KAC-05010 image sensor is a high performance, 2.2 micron pixel, 1 / 2.5 format image sensor that offers improved image quality, lower noise and excellent color reproduction.
