Canon EOS 5D Mark II ‘Black Spot’ statement

Canon Europe has issued a statement about two image quality issues with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
Canon is still investigating the problem of black dots appearing to the right of point sources of light and noise banding in some images and claims that both will be solved by a firmware upgrade that will follow shortly.
As it is not mentioned in the statement (below), AP has raised the issue of banding in high sensitivity (ISO 25,600) raw and JPEG images with Canon. The manufacturer will be looking at our images as part of the ongoing investingation. Read the whole article here. You can buy the camera here
