UK have been making underwater housings since 1990. Owner Angelika Kuhn-Kiehl and her husband Uwe Kiehl began making tailor made housing for AF-cameras made by manufacturers like Canon, Nikon, Minolta and Pentax. When this was a success, they quickly started making underwater housing for manually adjustable cameras. A few years later, they expanded to include mid format cameras like the Mamiya 645 and Pentax 645. In 1989, the UK mini range for camera manufacturers like Canon, Minolta and Pentax really made waves when they succeeded in making the world's smallest aluminium underwater housing.
